SOLAR CONTROL FILMS

When carefully applied to any type of glazing, solar control films provide effective thermal insulation in winter and a number of other considerable benefits in summer months:
* a considerable reduction in solar heat gain (reflection of up to 98 % of infrared radiation);
* solar glare control (reducing glare by 99 %);
* a substantial reduction in air conditioning costs;
* near complete absorption of UV solar radiation.
Solar control films help improve overall insulation levels and can help reduce or even eliminate the need for air conditioning.

THERMAL INSULATION
Now more than ever before, energy savings, insulation and reduction of CO2 emissions are items at the top of every agenda.
With the help of an infrared camera, SOLAR SCREEN® has been able to determine the degree of heat loss through glass. As a result it has also observed the significant insulation properties of its films – the SOLAR 65 C and 80 C insulating film models in particular – as well as of its shade film blinds. The latter contain a high concentration of metallic particles (to reflect heat inwardly) and do not make contact with the cold glass.
MULTI ALLOY SPECTRALLY SELECTIVE FILMS
SOLAR SCREEN® Multi alloy window films are technically highly advanced. Multi alloy films are carefully designed to act selectively on the spectrum of solar light. Characterised by a subtle tint and absolute transparency, these advanced films improve ambient living and working conditions by providing insulation from solar heat gain (Spectra 80 C film), whilst continuing to allow up to 70 % of visible light to pass through (Spectra 30 C film). Furthermore, these films will absorb 99.5% of all UV rays and reflect up to 90% of infrared radiation (780 to 2,500nm) in the case of the Celsius 70 Cristal model.
POLYCARBONATE
SOLAR SCREEN® has developed a range of films that can be applied to synthetic materials such as polycarbonate and Plexiglas sheeting.
They ensure protection of different types including: solar, anti-UV, scratch-resistance, solar glare reduction and privacy.
ANTI – UV
Exposure to the visible, ultraviolet and infrared rays originating from the Sun and the Moon can cause many coloured items or furnishings to fade or deteriorate. Carefully applied to your windows, our range of anti-UV solar films are specially designed to filter out harmful UV rays, as well as a considerable amount of infrared and visible light.
